It's Time For Another Brother Post...

What do Alli and I do at 12:00 at night? That's right. We look up missionary videos. Yep. My mom showed me this one a while back, but we re-watched it last night and I started crying again:

6 months and 15 days until my brother gets done! I can't wait! Yeah, yeah, I know before he left I said I wouldn't miss him, but I was TOTALLY lying! I miss him so much! He is doing such an awesome job in Peru! He's had more baptisms then we had stickers for on his missionary calender. He's close to being done, but he keeps going. He has grown up so much, I can tell, but he's still the same funny Mitch he was before. He's balding though, if you've seen some of his pictures, you can tell!

This is us when we were really little:
Me and Mitch in Disneyland... We really love the Muppets:)
Yes, there was a point in my life (It lasted for like a month) where I was a little taller than Mitchell.
This is the last picture taken of us all before he went into the MTC. Worst day EVER!
This was when Mitch took me to a Real Salt Lake game before he left on his mission! It was SOO fun!!!
This was my favorite day with Mitchell. We were on vacation to Disneyland/Universal Studios and the morning we were supposed to go to Universal Studios, Thomas got sick. So, my dad, Mitch, Jacob and I went without them. We got there and did the tour, and then my dad got a call from my mom saying Thomas felt better. So my dad left me and Mitch and took Jacob and they left to go get my mom and Thomas. We were in the park by ourselves for like 2 1/2 hours. It was SO fun! We wandered around, went into the haunted house, looked in the costume museum and went on all the rides! Oh, and got cinnabons too:) It was such a fun day with him!

He just makes me laugh:)

This was us at my cousin Drue's wedding.

Mema's house!

Next: Thomas. REGION CHAMPION in swimming! 2 events!!!! He is swimming in the state meet this weekend and he is going to be awesome!!! He is such a stud, he's not even 16 yet, but he's got a line of girls waiting to ask him to the sweetheart's dance in February!
Who wouldn't want to go with that^^^^^

And finally, Jacob: I was Skyping with my family on Sunday and Jacob comes on and just says "Maddi! Come home! Please come home!" Ha ha! He misses me! I miss my bud! Alli and I were talking the other day about why we just laugh at the weirdest things and she said it's because she hangs out with her little siblings a lot, and I realized that was my problem too! My best friend is a 9 year old!!!

ANDY GRAMMER

Holy smokes. That was a good concert. Now, I'm not saying it was better than Josh Groban, because it wasn't. But, it was a close 2nd. IT WAS SO AWESOME!

So, Alli and I spent most of the day getting ready (We had to look good for Andy). Then, we met Matt at Arctic Circle and had dinner. Then we drove over to the school. We went into the building and went downstairs to this little room where a few other people were sitting and waiting. They handed us these cool little badges:
We waited down in the room for about half an hour and in walks Andy Grammer. I mean, I knew he was coming but it still was like, "OH MY GOSH! There's Andy Grammer!" It was so cool! So we all lined up to get pictures with him. It was our turn and he was SOOOO nice! He just kept saying thanks for coming, and it's nice to meet you! AND he said that Alli and I were sweet:) We blushed and giggled a lot.
Me and Andy:)
All of us and Andy:)

So he signed some posters for us and then he left to get ready for the concert. We went and put our posters in my car and walked back inside and waited for the doors to open so we could sit down. They finally let us in and it was still like a half an hour before the show started.

Andy had two opening acts: some girl named Rachel Patton and Ryan Star. We had heard of Ryan before but not Rachel. So she went first and Dylan was in love. She had this really awesome drummer that got really into it. It was soooo funny!
Then she finished and it took a while for Ryan to get onstage, and when he finally did Alli and I were sooooooo excited! If you dont know who he is, you might recognize this song:

Oh, he was so funny. He sang a few of his own songs, but he also sang Rolling in the Deep and Don't Stop Believing. It was AWESOME! Then, he said he was going to the hall to sign autographs so Alli and I ran up there and we got a picture with him! We had him sign our passes and I told him he was awesome and then he looks at me and says, "You're awesome!" It made me happy! The picture is at a weird angle because he was leaning over a table and we were leaning back on it.

We ran back to our seats, but Andy didn't come on for about another 15 minutes. When he came onstage everyone went crazy! He was soo awesome! He made me so happy. I don't think we stopped smiling all night. We screamed so loud our throats are sore! He sang some of our favorites of his and he also sang Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 and my personal favorite Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol! It was so fun! Here's some more pictures and I'll post some of the videos to YouTube later:

So.... yeah... it was a pretty good concert! All 3 performers had SERIOUS talent. They sound the same live as they do on their cd! They're not like Rihanna, or Taylor Swift, or any of those crap singers who have to have their voice edited like none other to sound good. These guys had real talent and it was so awesome!
Ha ha, but anytime anyone wants to take me to a concert, feel free... I get pretty lucky at them:)

I am a Lucky Girl

MMM. Just take a look at that face. Now look again. AND one more time. Isn't it a beautiful face? Yes. yes it is. I like it, a lot. That face has a name and it is Andy Grammer. If you still don't know who he is this should help.
If you still don't know who he is, well I'm sorry. You should probably listen to the radio more.
Anyway, he has a concert here in St. George tomorrow and my friends and I weren't going to go. The tickets were only 8 bucks, but we still didn't go buy tickets. Well, there was this radio contest where you could win 3 tickets to the concert AND to meet him! SO, with our phones in hand, and with a little help from our favorite Matt, our call got through and we answered the question right and WON TICKETS TO MEET ANDY GRAMMER! Yes. We were screaming. Yelling. Jumping up and down. It was a good moment. This is the recording of our win:

I'll have to admit that between this, Keith Urban and Josh Groban... I'm a pretty lucky girl! :)

OHHHHHH MAN!

Oh YES! I just found this little gem! BAHAHAHA! I had to post it. This was senior year, and our assignment was to make a video or do a skit in front of the class on our assigned scene from Hamlet. Our group was clearly superior and I think we had Mrs. Riley in tears because she was laughing so hard! Ohh man. These were some good times:)

The Wall of Awesome

A few days ago, Alli and I decided that our wall looked pretty empty. All we had was a TV and a Princess Bride Calender. So, we went to Walmart, found a Star Wars poster, put it up and decided it still wasn't enough. So, my dad came down to St. George on Monday for a conference thing, and I told him to bring me any extra posters they had lying around so we could add to our collection. Here's what it looks like now:
It's still not good enough yet, we need to get some more random posters and then we're probably going to put random pictures in the small empty spaces, but when it gets finished... we're going to have THE coolest apartment in the building!
The end...

Bye-Bye Facebook

If you were trying to stalk me on Facebook this morning, and couldn't... it's because I temporarily disabled my account. I know I'll be back, but I at least want to be off for a few weeks. It takes away so much of my free time, and I have better things to do. Like go to the gym. SO, if you need to talk to me, you can email me, comment here or even better, just text me! The end...

Movies, Treats and the Bachelor...

I love weekends. So much. Last night Alli and I went to go see Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. It was a very powerful movie. I cried basically through the whole movie. The little boy that was in it was such a good little actor, and he was the reason I was in tears.
When the movie was over, everyone just sat in silence for a few minutes. As much as I loved it, I don't think I'll ever be able to watch it again. For one, it was a pretty long movie. There were some parts that seemed to drag on forever. Also, it made me cry a lot, and I hate movies that do it. But I seriously think everyone should see it at least once.

On a happier note... I made a Pinterest recipe! It's not something that happens often. I pin a whole bunch of recipes, planning on making them all... BUT, I've probably really only made 2. This recipe, wasn't very hard, and that's what made me decide to make it!

This is the finished product. Basically it's just ice cream with a layer of cookie underneath it with chocolate on the top. But it tastes really good! Pretty proud of myself today.

And finally, I caught up on the Bachelor. My mom asks me all the time why I watch it, and sometimes I don't know. But this last episode I was reminded why I love it so much. I just LOVE laughing at all these idiotic people. My favorite quote of the night was "I can't find love like this!" which was said after some random girl walked in. Really, you hadn't thought of this BEFORE you came on the show. I'm pretty sure every single girl was in tears in this episode and it was SOOO funny! Also, the girls are always talking about how hot Ben is... I don't get it that much. I think he's cute... but he's really awkward... and he is definitely not hot. This is my theory (Well, actually I saw it in a magazine...)
I think Ben is just Josh Groban and Rafael Nadal's awkard and ugliness in one person. That's all. But yes, I watch the Bachelor to laugh at stupid girls and Ben's awkwardness!

The end.

Best Friend Pictures

Last night we were all irritated and angry so we decided to go out and take pictures... but it was too dark so they are all really stupid. But, it made us all feel better for about a half an hour.

First Week Back...

Okay, it's only Wednesday, but so much has already happened. I got back to St. George on Sunday and all my friends were waiting for me... it was nice. That night me, Dylan, Lindsay, Alli, and our new friend Stevie went hot tubbing and watched a movie at Alli's condo. Speaking of Alli, for those of you who don't know, she is my new roommate. Sadly, we don't share a room, but we've been sleeping on our couches all week (long story). But Alli is so great! I'm so happy she's in my apartment now!!!
Monday was the first day of school and my favorite class was nutrition because I have it with Dylan... party time in that class. I love it. Then, Alli, Dylan and I went grocery shopping. There was SO much stuff in the cart and they made me push it around! Then, I helped Alli dye her hair... but I did a terrible job and then Dylan, Stevie, Alli and I played smash brothers. And I won.

Tuesday I went to THE MOST boring class in the history of boring classes. Plus, it's an hour and fifteen minutes, so it's harder to just power through it like the 50 minute classes. But, hopefully the class will get better. When I got home, the whole gang came to Walmart with me to get some stuff for my photography class. We had been planning to go to karaoke night at Applebee's, so we grabbed Brandon and went over there. But, it was packed, so we decided to leave and try again next week. But, when we got into my car, Alli screams and we saw this scary looking man come walking towards my car, so I scream and lock my door. Then he stands at my window and starts trying to talk to me. And the 3 boys in the back were no help. So I unrolled the window just a crack and he starts talking about how he wrote a song for Black Sabbath about casting out the devil, or something, and I'm getting super freaked out, so I look back at Brandon, and he's back there on the phone with his roommate! So this guy goes on for like 5 minutes, and he's got these crazy eyes and I just keep thinking he's going to reach through the window and try to grab us. But basically, he was just asking for money, so I have no idea what the Black Sabbath song writing crap was all about. So we told him we had nothing, since he basically attacked us, and he got all mad and just walked away. It was so scary and now I am super paranoid.

So, that has been my week so far... sorry it's a long post with no pictures! I love college....
