Is it Time to go Home Yet?

Yeah. I did just get back from San Diego, but I'm ready to go home. Like, home home though. Lindsay and I made a paper chain countdown until the day I get to come home for Christmas break! YAY! I'm so excited... But still... 19 days seems like a long time. But I can make it. I just had an awesome week in San Diego with my family- We saw seals, a dead whale and almost Prince Harry!(AH) I know. I'm still kicking myself for not going black Friday shopping because yes... I could have seen England's one and only Prince Harry. So anyway... all the pictures are on facebook and if you want to know more about the trip... I'm sure my mom will blog about it. You can check there http://sheridansix.blogspot.com/ I'm just too lazy to blog about. SOOO 19 more days WAHOO!

Pretty Good End to a Crappy Week

So this week started off miserably. I already knew it was going to be a long week because I'm so excited to go to San Diego on Wednesday, but there was just a lot of drama this week and I didn't really appreciate it. People are really stupid sometimes and the first three days of this week sucked. But on Thursday I went on a date with this really awesome guy named Brandon, and we went to see this band called Fictionist. They were actually really good, but none of us had ever heard them before. In fact, I'm pretty sure the only person there who knew their songs was this guy right here:
From the very first song, he was jumping and dancing and rocking out to this band. It was hilarious! For the first song, he was the only one standing up and dancing! Then more people started getting up with him and we decided to go over with him too. But right when we were walking to the other side he gets up and started to walk away! We didn't know where he was going, but when we looked up, he was getting up onstage and dancing with the band. The band was laughing so hard, they could hardly play their music. After the song, he came back down and we danced with him for the rest of the concert! It was AWESOME! After the show we met the band and this is me and the pretty attractive lead singer:
So, that was a super fun night!
Then, on Friday, I went camping with a bunch of awesome people! It was SO nice just to get away for a night and be with fun people. It was pretty cold, but we walked around, did a little bouldering, had some smore's and tried to catch a rabbit with Ean's tomahawk (long story)
This is Ean and his friend Danny trying to break the wood up:

Me and my favorite woman Kelci:
So it turned out to not be such a crappy week after all, but I'm still counting down the days till my family gets here!!

Sometimes My Life Feels Like Community...

If any of you are fans of the show community, you will know exactly what I'm talking about here. If you don't, then you can just laugh at my awkward situation. So basically my sociology professor looks like the Dean from community:
Except he has hair... so he looks a little more like this:
Just a little less creepy. His voice also weirdly sounds like him too. So anyways, my professor goes off on these really long tangents than have ABSOLUTELY no relation to the topic we are discussing. Today his tangent was on Bob Dylan. So, I wasn't really paying any attention to anything he was saying, and all of a sudden he yells my name and tells me to sing with him. Ummm... what? So he comes and stands next to my desk and starts singing Bob Dylan. But I don't really know any Bob songs, you see, I'm more of a fan of his son Jakob. So he keeps singing and I wasn't really sure what to do, so I just stared at him. I kind of felt like Jeff in last week's Community episode:
Finally, he realized I felt super weird, so he just moved on and didn't say anything else about it. It was a weird day... BUT only 8 more days to San Diego!!! YAY!!!

I Love My Brothers SOOOOO Much!

No. I didn't get hacked. I really do love them. Thomas was in St. George today for a swim meet, so I was able to go and watch and cheer for him! He did AMAZING! Even though he doesn't think he did good, I thought he was awesome. He CRUSHED everyone else. He was ahead from the very start. My heck, he is so talented.

Look at that stud...

CHAMPION!!

1st place, lane 4 Boys Cheer

Then, while I was at the swim meet I get a text from my mom that said this, "I heard Jake and his friend in the kitchen and I overheard him say, this is kinda random, but I miss Maddi. then his friend said, is she your best friend? and Jake said, Yeah, we are tight!" OH! It just broke my heart a little. I love that little boy so much. He is such a stud. I can't even handle it.

And of course, it wouldn't be a post about how much I love my brothers if I didn't mention my favorite older brother Mitchell! He is the coolest guy I know... seriously. He is an awesome missionary and the best older brother in the world. Even though he STILL hasn't sent me a letter yet, I still love him. He is such a good example to me and in 9 more months he'll be home! YAAAY!

So anyways... I just love my brothers a lot, and I'm actually glad I'm an only girl so that I am all of their favorite sister!

Okay... so maybe I'm loving the Theater department...

I know, I know. I gave up theater in high school because I wanted to dance. But, I've been taking a stage makeup class at Dixie and I love it. I wasn't sure at first if I liked it or not. The teacher didn't really appreciate anything that I was doing because, let's be honest, I wasn't that good. We had an assignment last week to do research on a particular artist from the 18th century and create a makeup design based on their portraits. Well we were practicing it today and the teacher said he loved what I was doing and that I had really gotten the idea of the assignment. I was pretty happy because he NEVER likes anything I do. Never. So maybe I'll stick with it for a little bit... but for those who know me well know that this cannot be the only reason I'm sticking with it. You're right. There is a cute boy in the class... Yes, he's a theater major, and no, he's not gay. At least I don't think so. Anyway, he's super cute and talented and he told me that I looked really cute today. AND he liked my makeup design too. So... maybe I'll stick with this to have a few more classes with him:)
These are some pictures of my makeup attempts:

So YAY! I got it to work!

Congratulations World...

You win. I got a blog. After much nagging from people, especially my mom, I decided to start one! Just know this will not be a crafty blog or anything... just me and my awkward stories. For tthose of you who I haven't talked to in a while, I am currently in St. George going to school at Dixie. I love it, but mostly I just love my friends. There are truly awesome people down here and I have SO much fun with them! I haven't figured out how to do pictures yet, but I'll post pictures of my awesome new friends soon. All is good here... more to come when I get this thing figured out!
